Unlock X8 Bootloader !

Before proceeding with unlocking your bootloader, please read the quotation below carefully. We are not responsible if you bricked your phone. Do this on your own RISK!

Check if your device is affected by the problem follow this simple steps:

• Turn off the phone and open it up
• Take out the battery
• Look at the sticker below

If the date code on the sticker reads 11W29, or any later date (11W30, 11W31, 11W32, 11W33, ...), DO NOT attempt to unlock the boot loader.

YOU MUST BE ON STOCK 2.1 ROM AND ROOTED TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER

Step 1: (Downloads)

1. Download S1tool [UPDATED 13 FEB 2012]
2. Download Unlocker [UPDATED 13 FEB 2012]

Step 2: (Prepare)

1. Disable your antivirus
2. Unzip all downloaded files
3. Shut Down Phone
4. Open S1tool, Click on DO JOB, Press Back on phone, Connect it to PC.
5. Look For Line "XXXX SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE" 

Step 3: (Unlock)

1. Turn the phone on, Connect it with PC in Debugging mode.
   
2. if XXXX is "NOT RECOGNIZED" then sorry, it can't be unlocked.
3. if XXXX is SEMC then run "msm7227_semc.cmd"
4. if "XXXX SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE" was not found then run "msm7227_Setool2.cmd"
5. Wait... 
   
6. if "Press any key to continue . . ." is found, press any key. 

Step 4: (Verify)

1. Shut Down Phone
2. Open S1tool, Click on DO JOB, Press Back on phone, Connect it to PC.
3. Look For Line RUNNING S1_EROM VER "x8A029" 
   
4. if x is "r" then it is done, Congrats. You've unlocked your bootloader :D
5. if x is "R" then Sorry, Do everything again.
